Concussion Management

1 in 5 high school athletes will sustain a sports concussion during the season and there is a rising number of concussions among middle school athletes.  According to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, suffering from a concussion while participating in a contact sport is nearly 20% per year of play. Concussions can lead to brain damage, decreased cognitive function, limited participation in daily activities, decreased quality of life and lead to limited participation in school and athletics.

The Physical Therapists of Connect Physical Therapy LLC are ImPACT trained, having specialized knowledge and education for the management of concussion symptoms. They will be able to reduce headaches, neck pain, and dizziness, allowing the client to re-enter the community faster and with greater ease.
